Ski Chalet Staff: Who, What, When, Why?

  • Publish Date: Posted 8 months ago

At Greycoat Lumleys, we are experts in placing experienced, premier staff in seasonal work all over the world - the ski season is no different. From December to April, we’re working hard to provide ski chalet staff for our clients, and to make sure that both our clients and our candidates are having an enjoyable season, and working hard.

We have a team of dedicated, experienced ski consultants, who have the recruitment expertise necessary to assist clients with all of their staffing requirements - whether it be catering, housekeeping, or childcare. As a team, we endeavour to find the very best seasonal staff to suit your needs.

What staff can we provide for your ski season?

Whether you need a whole team of ski chalet staff to keep you company, or you’re particularly focused on eating well when you get back from a day on the slopes, or you need childcare for the duration of your season, we can help.

Ski Chalet Staff:

Greycoat Lumleys works with private chalet owners and luxury rental agents, as well as exclusive chalet companies. We help to fill seasonal and permanent positions with exceptional and experienced chalet managers, assistant chalet managers, chalet housekeepers, and chalet hosts.

General duties of chalet staff include helping with the day to day running of the property, cleaning and changeover periods, handling slope bookings and ski classes, liaising with guests, basic bookkeeping, and management of in-resort relationships and accounts with local suppliers.

Ski Chefs and Cooks:

The calibre of our day to day catering staff is second to none, and our ski chefs and cooks are no different. Our consulting team has access to a global database of talented candidates who can prepare high-quality cuisine onsite, with all the passion, flair, and creativity that a client would expect.

Our candidates are experienced in providing all catering for chalet guests, carrying out food shopping and using local produce, catering for different dietary requirements, as well as meal planning and menu development.

Ski Nannies and Childcare:

Perhaps you have a new baby who’ll need care and attention while you have a break on your snowboard, or slightly older children who can participate in skiing, but would also appreciate a few days of inside entertainment when they get tired.

Our ski nannies are experts in creative, enriching, indoor and outdoor play, and will be well versed in the health and safety aspects of nannying in a slightly more stressful environment, such as a ski resort.

Other Seasonal Staff:

We are also able to offer a number of other types of seasonal staff - we have ski couples, who may form a chef / nanny team, used to working together. Or perhaps a part time chef who doubles as a ski chalet manager? Whatever your needs, you can contact our expert team, who will be able to find you the perfect candidate to suit your needs.

“I’m proud to say that our team has excellent experience in matching candidates with clients - we’ve got great reviews, and everyone comes away happy. Even if you’re not quite sure what sort of services you’ll be needing for your upcoming ski season, you can get in touch with us for an informal conversation, and our consultants will help you figure out what you need.”

Debbie Salter, Managing Director, Greycoat Lumleys.
