Meet the Manager – Laura Harrall, Director of Greycoat Lumleys and Manager of our North of England Office
Laura has kindly agreed to be the focus of our first of our ‘Meet the Manager’ piece. We now have a team of managers across our offices, who work tirelessly, not only running their own desks, but supporting their teams and sectors, leading the way in development and recruitment expertise.
Laura, when did you start at Greycoat Lumleys?
I started with the company back in June 2004 – it was still called Greycoat Placements back then!
What has been your professional highlight of 2015?
Feeling that we are really making strong progress in rolling out what we do to the North of England. Awareness of our brand across the North of England has become more widespread day by day during 2015, which is great.
What is your biggest challenge for 2016?
Keeping the momentum going is always a big challenge, and trying to look for new opportunities keeps us on our toes. We would love to open more regional offices, so watch this space!
What makes your team special?
We are a small team of 2 at the moment (+ the office dog!) and between us we have a lot of practical household experience, as well as recruitment expertise. This combination means that we can give the best advice to both our clients and candidates and as we are more local, we understand the geographical restrictions.
What bit of your job do you find most interesting or satisfying?
I have said this many times in the past, but without a doubt the best part of the job is always getting great jobs for great candidates and great staff for great clients. Placing someone in our industry really does have a big effect on both parties, so it is important to do your best at all times.
