Recruitment Open Day in Beaconsfield on the 29th February 2020
When looking for a place to live and work it’s not hard to see why the peaceful and quiet market town of Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire is so popular. Beaconsfield offers a truly special combination of rural countryside, a relaxed, historic, quaint but bustling town which is only a 25 minute commute into the centre of London.

Here are the top reasons why you should consider living and working in Beaconsfield:

The local area - Beaconsfield is surrounded by the wonderful Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding beauty which attract walkers, cyclists and riders from all over the country.
When you visit Beaconsfield, you could be forgiven for feeling you’ve stepped back into a bygone era as you are surrounded by safe, well-maintained public areas and traditional coaching inns, red brick cottages and Georgian and Tudor houses.

The shopping - Beaconsfield High Street offers an electric mix of shopping and includes various designer boutiques, larger high street chains and a thriving range of independent shops. The weekly market is a firm favourite with the locals and there are a selection of food halls including both Waitrose and Marks and Spencer which offer something for everyone.

The transport links - The impressive fast commute into London is valued by many, as is that fact that you're pretty much assured a seat if getting on at Beaconsfield station. If you prefer to drive into London it will take only an hour, and Heathrow airport is conveniently only a 20-minute drive away.

The schools - The county of Buckinghamshire still operates the 11-plus exam which determines entry to its selective grammar schools. Beaconsfield has a top-performing girls’ grammar school, with the nearest boys’ grammar school close by in High Wycombe. Wycombe Abbey, also in High Wycombe, is one of the country’s best day and boarding schools.

Eating and drinking - There is a wide choice of vibrant eateries within Beaconsfield, including over 20 high end restaurants, pubs and cafes guaranteed to offer something for everyone, with all tastes and budgets catered for. Beaconsfield is also proudly home to the famous Royal Standard pub, reputed to be the oldest free house in the country.

Sport - Within the local area you will find a wide choice of sporting venues including rugby, football, tennis, cricket, squash and golf clubs. The surrounding countryside offers anyone who enjoys the outdoors life the opportunity for wonderful cycling, walking and riding.

Out and about - Famous Five author Enid Blyton lived in Beaconsfield and her many fans now make the pilgrimage to the Red Lion at Knotty Green, where there is a room dedicated to her memory. The recently expanded National Film and Television Centre gives the town a modern creative edge and the renowned Bekonscot Model Village is also close by. Plus, there are numerous parks and gardens to explore at your leisure, including Hughenden and Cliveden.

It’s certainly easy to see why so many families are drawn to live in the area and these families, together with second-home buyers, are ensuring that there are many employment opportunities in Beaconsfield and the surrounding areas. As a result, we are finding an increased demand for all types of household staff, including Nannies, Housekeepers, Private Chefs, Gardeners, Butlers, Chauffeurs, Household Managers and Household Couples.
