Assistant Houseparent Job

This School is a co-educational, independent day and boarding school for children aged 11 to 18. Their 700 strong student community includes 100 boarders from the UK as well as other countries around the world, adding an important international and multicultural dimension to the school. 

They are seeking a great candidate to join one of their girls boarding houses, located near the coastal town of Hastings.

Their ethos of boarding is to provide a home-from-home feel and that of a large extended family. Every boarder is encouraged to develop their full potential in all areas of life, with the support of a dedicated boarding team.

The successful candidate will have a passion for boarding, and education as a whole. They will demonstrate flexibility, compassion, resilience, dynamism and a good sense of humour.

The Role:

  • Guide boarders through their daily routine.

  • Facilitate the boarders’ social life within the House and encourage all to take part in the communal activities around the House, both in evenings and at weekends. Contribute meaningfully to the life of the House.

  • Contribute to the weekly programme of trips.

  • Assist students with their homework and the organisation of their school work.
