Couple Job working in an Enchanting Castle, Bavaria
A lovely young family of three (Male and Female Principals and their young son 1.5 years) are seeking a capable Domestic couple.
They hope to find a domestic couple who are mainly focused on the interior care and housekeeping tasks of a large historic castle near the city of Augsburg. This being said, only 2 of the bedrooms need daily Housekeeping, care and attention. The other bedroom needs regular upkeep and should not be ignored however they are rarely used by guests or extended family.
The candidates should be able to provide for daily household cooking for three people.
Key Responsibilities:
Making the beds and keeping the rooms presentable.
Cleaning bathrooms
Daily housekeeping of regularly used internal areas living room, kitchen, hallways
Laundry and cooking
Maintaining a cleaning and care roster for unused areas of the property
Occasional babysitting / watching the baby monitor (the family does employ a nanny)
Non-negotiable:
Previous experience in Private Households (preferably within a large estate)
At least one of the couple must be a driver
Fluency in either Spanish or English (German is also advantageous)
EU Passport Holders or German residency
Enthusiasm for Property staging and Housekeeping duties
Advantageous:
Flower arranging experience
Gardening, the family already employ a full time gardener and a full-time maintenance man, but it is a large property and experience with either, would be great
The family would like to find candidates who are happy working within a family orientated environment. Candidates who are “empty nesters” or a couple who have experience and Housekeeper/Nannies are encouraged to apply. The family is seeking a couple who take genuine pride in the presentability of a home at all times and maintain high standards showing genuine care to the building and the old historic rooms. The couple should already know how to structure their days efficiently & be organised to complete daily tasks. Therefore, previous experience as a Domestic couple is really important in this position.
The role is not open to a couple who have children of their own as the accommodation provided is a one-bedroom apartment with a separate private entrance. The candidates could however have a Pet dog or Cat. The property is bordered by open fields on one side and Woods on the other and is in close proximity to thriving cosmopolitan areas (10 minutes drive).
The position is offered on a 5-day working week and the successful couple would take two days off together.
