Couple Job - Housekeeper and Groundsman

 A Rare and Exceptional Couple role in a stunning Scottish Location

Greycoat Lumley's client is seeking a Couple for their historic property situated in a beautiful, remote location on the West Coast of the Scottish Highlands. Set within large grounds requiring substantial upkeep, the property offers both luxurious accommodations and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. It is a unique and elegant space that will be used as a property let for short stays, hosting guests seeking an extraordinary escape. Alongside its impressive interiors, the estate must be maintained carefully to ensure the highest standards.

This Couple requires hands-on individuals to ensure that the interior of the property is always guest-ready and that the extensive grounds are kept in pristine condition. Responsible for managing changeovers, maintaining the property and its contents, and ensuring the grounds remain beautiful, clean, and well-kept. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both indoor and outdoor work in a stunning and tranquil environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the entire property is thoroughly cleaned and maintained at all times

  • Manage laundry, ironing, and linen changes, ensuring all guest and house linens are impeccably cared for

  • Ensure all guest amenities are fully stocked and the property is ready to welcome guests at all times

  • Inventory Management

  • Estate and Grounds Maintenance

  • Planting and Gardening

  • Maintain tools and equipment used in outdoor tasks, ensuring everything is in good working order.

This role will suit a Couple with proven experience in housekeeping and groundskeeping, ideally in a large estate or heritage property.  The Couple must have strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards in both cleaning and outdoor maintenance.

The Couple must be self-motivated and have strong communication skills with the Principals as they will be at the property on a part time basis and the property will be rented out for exclusive use.  The Couple will be meeting and greeting guests and therefore must be welcoming and flexible in their approach.  The Couple must be discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times.

Start:  April 2025

Accommodation:  Provided on the estate with 2 bedrooms - rent free

Salary:  £65,000 to £70,000 GPA depending on experience

+ Council Tax and Utility Bills are included in the package
