Caretaking and Hospitality Couple Job in Greece

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Domestic Couple to join a private household in North West Greece, the area is Mountainous and rural. The ideal candidates will be a dynamic duo who are skilled in caretaking, housekeeping, laundry, light private catering, and hospitality. Caring for the home as if it was their own. Candidates who applied must enjoy their work and it is hoped the beautiful rural surroundings. Life is quiet but there are lovely villages around and this is a full-time, live-in position. The property is a winter destination for an affluent Greek family and is not used year round. The family will usually travel with their chef and one other housekeeper.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all caretaking and housekeeping duties on the property

  • Manage Housekeeping, laundry maintenance and upkeep

  • Provide and assist service and private catering and hospitality for the household when they are in residence

  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure seamless operations

  • Providing exceptional service to the household and its guests

  • Keep the house well provisioned, clean and organised

Must haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role within private households and estates is advantageous but not completely mandatory

  • Have a hospitality background and enjoy service

  • Proficiency in caretaking, housekeeping, maintenance and hospitable natures

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to always maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours when family is in residence  

  • At least one of the duo should be a competent driver with a clean license

  • Candidates should be EU passport holder or have the existing right to work in Greece

Day-to-day

As a Hospitality and caretaking couple, your day-to-day activities will include managing the household's caretaking and housekeeping. Keeping the house in a guest ready state. This will involve coordinating with third parties, ensuring the property is well-maintained, and providing hospitality services to the household and its guests. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a level of discretion and professionalism while working in a live-in capacity. It is also important to maintain a professional relationship with other members of the families staff.

  • One of the couple should be responsible for housekeeping and cleaning, including laundry & ironing

  • Together the couple should handle household expenses, supplies, and manage the property during the employer's absence

  • Ideal for one of the couple to handle some handyman duties and be comprehensive with technical aspects of the home, competency with TNX systems is advantageous  

  • Unfortunately this role is most suitable for candidates without pets or dependents

  • Candidates should aim or a minimum to a 3-year commitment with at least 6-8 weeks of paid annual leave per year

Monthly salary of €5,000 NET
