Greycoat Lumley's client are seeking a temporary boating Manager and Estate Assistant in West Cork, Ireland and County Kerry, Ireland
The Family are seeking a Couple to primarily assist with the smooth running of a holiday home In West Cork and a second holiday home in County Kerry. The roles are primarily based in West Cork from March 2025 to January 2026.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Boat maintenance/handling
Taking care of kayaks and water sports equipment
Water skiing and taking guests out on the water throughout the summer
Cleaning/maintaining boats, wet suits, supplies and equipment
Lifting boats out of the water/mooring extraction
Supporting the housekeeper with all aspects of general housekeeping/house maintenance including cleaning, dusting, mopping, hoovering and changing bed linen
Laundry and ironing
Grocery shopping
Daily cooking (by arrangement with the family)
Running errands, e.g. collecting and dropping guests to the airport
Assisting with maintenance and upkeep of two additional properties on the estate plus the boat house
Supporting the head gardener and team with gardening, keeping court yards and terraces clean
Working with the estate team to oversee boiler pumps, swimming pools, heating, AC, etc.
Maintaining cars, golf buggies and garden machinery (cleaning, fuelling and servicing)
Detailed bookkeeping of all expenses
The Couple must have a flexible professional manner and be hard working with initiative. Being organised and able to manage your own time is key as you will need to be a self-starter.
Skills Required:
Computer literacy including excel is required for weekly reports when the family are not in residence
Good culinary skills to cook meals for the family
Have a good knowledge of boats (Hinckley & William Power Boats) and relevant boating qualifications - ICC skipper licence and qualification to captain boats
Be dog friendly (one family dog resident)
Non-smokers
Discrete and respectful of the family and guests’ privacy
Salary: EURO 80,000 GPA for period from the 1st of March 2025 to 31st January 2026
Accommodation: 1 bedroom fully furnished property, bathroom, kitchen and living room. Over 2 floors and across the courtyard from the main house
Travel expenses reimbursed
Four weeks holidays (timing to be agreed with the family.
Working hours: 6 working days per week while the family is in residence (typically 8 weeks per year), reverting to a standard 5 day week at other times.
