Live in or Live out Child friendly Housekeeper Job in Worcestershire

A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to care for their 5-bedroom country home located in Worcestershire. The family has a relaxed and informal approach but expects discretion and high standards in their home.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, along with a positive and proactive attitude and strong attention to detail. The family includes two older school-age children and their two beloved dogs, one small and one large, so being dog-friendly is essential. The household also employs a gardener and handyman.

The family travels approximately four times a year, during which you will be required for dog sitting and house sitting. These periods are usually planned with ample notice. Additionally, you will be required to carry out occasional babysitting. Longer periods of time away will be compensated with extra pay or time off in Lieu.

Duties to include:

  • Housekeeping to a high standard

  • House management & organisation of the home

  • Occasional cooking may be required.

  • Laundry, ironing and fabric care to include dry cleaning

  • Provisioning for the household

  • Running errands and shopping

  • Occasional school runs

  • Pet care and dog walking

  • Liaising with contractors 

The ideal person would be friendly and relaxed. Have good timekeeping skills and organisation skills. You will need to be a driver with a clean license. A fully expensed car is provided for work and private purposes. DBS check required at job offer, including any partners living in the accommodation. No pets please.

Start date: Mid-April 

Working week:  5 days a week Monday - Friday 

Hours: 45 hours a week, 8-5 flexible to discuss alternative times. 

Salary: Live in up to £40,000 GPA depending on Longevity in roles. Live out – please present expectations

Accommodation: An immaculate one-bedroom flat with garden space and own entrance. This is located in the adjacent coach house. All bills included.
