Live-in Housekeeper Job in Cumbria

Greycoat Lumleys are seeking a Housekeeper for a Retired Couple in Cumbria.  The welcoming Couple require an experienced Housekeeper who can be responsible for the day to day running their private home.

The Housekeeper must have empathy and be aware of what needs to be done on a daily basis, have structure in their work yet be flexible.

A wonderful opportunity to live and work in a rural setting in the Cumbrian countryside.

The Housekeeper has the opportunity to also spend time with duties in the garden and driving the clients when required.

Duties Include:

  • Housekeeping/cleaning

  • Arrange suppers and sometimes lunch (organising meals from freezer etc and ideally cooking sometimes too)

  • Laundry and ironing

  • Shopping for heavier household items and future support for general shopping

  • Driving to appointments / station etc when required (car and driving licence essential)

  • Walk dog when required

  • Outside jobs (lawn/garden) 

  • Occasional weekend support, looking after dog 

  • Occasional support with holiday cottages 

Hours and Days: 32 - 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 GPA depending on experience
