Live in Couple Job in Bedfordshire

This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a principal at two of her properties in Bedfordshire (half a mile apart). One of the properties (7 bedrooms) is used for her two businesses where she employs 10 staff during the working week and where guests and clients will visit. The other property, half a mile away, is her main residence where she resides with her grown up son. They have 2 dogs.

As a couple you must work between both properties. You will reside in a self-contained flat in the 7 bedroom office property so it is separate from the main house.

Duties:

  • Keeping both properties clean and tidy 

  • Laundry and ironing

  • Cooking duties when required (provide light lunches for staff on the days they are in, hot & cold buffets/canapes, drinks for clients and guests visiting us, with pre-notice)

  • Occasionally need to provide support at evening events

  • Main key holder (open & close the house during office hours)

  • Shopping and running errands

  • Driving duties – taking the principal to meetings and events in London

  • Dog care

  • Garden maintenance at both properties

  • Property Maintenance duties

  • Handyman duties – basic repairs & DIY

  • Liaising with contractors and tradespeople

Accommodation: Self-contained 1 bedroom apartment at the office site which has a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, walk in wardrobe and bedroom. There is also an additional reception/guest room with en-suite. On occasion family members could use the bedrooms if visiting.

Working days: Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
