Live in Couple Job in Buckinghamshire

A lovely returning Greycoat Lumleys client is looking for an experienced Live in Couple for their 6-bedroom property situated in 13 acres of the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. They have 9 alpacas, 2 donkeys, 2 dogs and a cat. An Estate Controller, full time Gardener and part time Cleaner are also employed. The Estate Couple will be part of a team reporting into the Principals and the Estate Controller.

Mainly the Principals living at the property, however, adult children, grandchildren and other family visit/stay on occasion. 

They are looking for a highly experienced Estate Couple (Maintenance/Handyman/Driver/Gardener & Housekeeper/Cook) who are friendly, proactive, professional and looking for a long-term position.

Duties:

  • Carrying out small handyman jobs and overseeing local tradesmen (when required)
  • Groundsman/garden maintenance
  • Driving the principals around London and surrounding areas
  • Vehicle care (Rolls Royce/Mercedes/Range Rover)
  • Animal care – mainly feeding (9 alpacas, 2 donkeys, 2 dogs and a cat)
  • Able to deal with IT and Technical matters
  • Housekeeping duties to include cleaning, laundry and ironing
  • Cooking (including occasional dinner parties).
  • Shopping and running errands
  • Security of the property (the principals travel between 10-12 weeks a year)

Driving: Both must be confident drivers. You will have use of a Staff Car.

Accommodation: A 2-bedroom detached cottage in the grounds with its own garden which is fully expensed and is included in the employment package. Cats will be considered (no dogs).

Start Date: ASAP

Working Week: Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm (with up to a one hour break). Flexibility to work up to 45 hours per week is required which may include occasional Saturday mornings (max 2 hours) and occasional evening driving/catering.

Salary - £80,000 - £100,000 gross combined, depending on experience
