Live in Head Gardener Job, South East England

We have a great position for a pro-active and experienced Head Gardener to take care of all aspects of running a beautiful 60 acre country estate in a rural location in the home counties.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and passionate gardener,  have a strong horticultural background, alongside managerial experience within a similar role. You will have a daily assistant gardeners and contractors to oversee. This is a very hands on role.

Responsibilities to include;

Deal with the day to day running of the estate 

  • Overseeing the flower Garden and green house

  • Ensure well manicured Lawns

  • Woodland Management and Paddocks 

  • Swimming Pool and Tennis Court Maintenance

  • Garden Maintenance

  • Use and Maintenance of garden machinery

  • General interior and exterior DIY - useful

  • Deal with contractors 

  • Care of the dogs if/when required

Start date: As soon as possible 

Working Week; 5 Days

Accommodation; A small 2 Bedroom Cottage with private garden (A small dog might be considered, no cats)

Salary; Negotiable for the right candidate, (within Market Rate)

Driving: Must hold a full UK driving licence
