Live In Housekeeper Job, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire 

Our Lovely client is looking for an experienced and reliable Housekeeper with excellent attention to detail  to help out with their beautiful 6-bedroom home near Cheltenham. The family consists of four children 2 who attend boarding school during the week and come home at weekends and 2 who visit during the holidays. The family also have dogs and chickens. The property is set within acres of land in a stunning location. There are no gardening duties as they employ a gardener.  

Duties will include: 

  • Hands-on housekeeping 

  • Laundry and ironing including bedding and delicate materials.

  • There are 2 guest cottages which need to be serviced before and after guest visits

  • Answering the phone and taking messages

  • Provisioning for the house 

  • Running errands

  • House sitting whilst the family are away

  • Looking after the dogs and chickens 

  • Assisting the gardener with maintaining the vegetable garden

  • Light family cooking  

The weekends can be very busy and the family are looking for someone who can be part of the family and be flexible with their duties. The ideal candidate will be pet-friendly, dedicated and be self-motivated, the family travel between this home and a property in London and also travel overseas. 

House: 5/6 bedroom house over 3 floors with 2 additional guest cottages 

Accommodation: One-bedroom barn conversion with an ensuite bathroom,  open plan kitchen and garden. Well behaved pets are welcome, there is also space on the property to keep a horse. 

Working Days and Hours: 40 hours per week 5 days on with 2 days off in the week  During term time. During the holidays it will be Monday - Friday with weekends off.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 gross per annum depending on experience
