Live in Housekeeper job near Northampton, Northamptonshire

A returning client is currently in need of a live-in housekeeper. The family consists of a principal couple with occasional visits from their grown-up children.

This will suit a Junior Housekeeper or Housekeeper from a hotel background. 

A team of daily housekeepers is already in place, and you will be working closely with them. The house is located on a rural estate that is open to the public one day a week during the summer months.

The ideal candidate for this job would possess qualities such as calmness, energy, proactivity, and trustworthiness. It is crucial to have a composed and capable demeanour as it is a busy household with frequent entertaining events. Additionally, private shoots take place during the winter months.

A love for animals is important for this role as there are 4 in the home. 

Duties to include

  • General hands-on housekeeping - Must have a good knowledge of the care of antiques and fine furnishings.

  • Laundry and Ironing 

  • Cooking would be a bonus

  • Keeping kitchen area clean

  • Occasionally looking after dogs

Driving essential, car provided for work purposes

Accommodation: lovely separate accommodation provided. All bills included. Partners and a dog may be considered upon vetting. Sorry, no dependants.

Working days: Monday - Friday (flexible with weekends with Time off in Lieu offered)

Hours: 40 hours a week. Flexibility would be required with hours as the house can be very busy on some days and quiet on others.
