Live In or Live Out Housekeeper/Cook job near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
A busy family are looking for a Housekeeper/Cook to support their existing team. The team consists of a House manager and weekly cleaners. It is a great role for a team player who enjoys a varied role and is a confident family cook. The House manager takes on the majority of the cooking who you will support and cover on her weekends off. Your working schedule will likely be Wednesdays and Thursdays, Housekeeping. Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s food prep preparing lunch and dinner for the family and their occasional guests. The property has 5 Bedrooms including additional guest cottages and office space. The house has a mixture of fine furnishings such as carpet, wooden and stone floors which need to be kept to a high standard. The house is used by the family for extended weekends and longer periods during the summer, Easter and Christmas. The position requires flexibility, ensuring that you are always open to new challenges and adaptable to the family's needs.
Duties to include:
- Housekeeping
- Laundry, ironing
- Provisioning for the household
- Healthy Family Cooking,
Driving is essential because of the location. The ideal candidate for this role will be a good family cook with a good eye for detail while maintaining the home's general tidiness. They will ensure a sanitary environment and that food stock is fresh and fit for consumption. They will also ensure stock levels of all food and drinks are kept at acceptable levels. They will be proactive, friendly, and flexible to help out where needed.
Start date: As soon as the right person is found
Accommodation: A 2-bedroom cottage separate from the main house with a garden. Pets and partners will be considered
Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday
Hours: 34 hours, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am-3:30 pm, Friday and Sunday from 10 am-2 pm & 6 pm-9 pm; Saturday from10 am-2 pm & 5 pm-9 pm
Salary: Live in £38,000 Live out £43,000
