Live in Housekeeper / Cook Job, Kensington
Accommodation: A self-contained, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette within the main house
We have a wonderful position for a professional, organised and dedicated candidate to join a busy family of 4 within their beautiful home in Kensington. This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who appreciates a schedule and routine and who can support the family where needed, working closely with the parents. The two children (11 & 14) both attend full time school and have extra activities after school. They family employ a House-manager / Driver who can support with heavier duties within the home and complete errands.
Duties to be included but not limited to:
Prepare breakfast daily for the family 7am
Daily housekeeping to a high standard (4 bedrooms)
Daily laundry and ironing(Ironing includes bed-sheets, shirts and uniforms etc.)
Understanding of delicate garments is needed.
Prepare the dry cleaning
Greet the boy’s after-school and support them with uniform and preparing for the next day
Ensure their shoes are polished and their sports and additional activity equipment is prepared.
Prepare an evening meal for the family, healthy and simple.
After dinner clear up and prepare for the next day
Baby sitting / later evening supervision 2x a week (always agreed in advance and during the working week)
Additional babysitting might be required, however paid separately
This is family are looking for a patient, kind and loyal candidate to replace their existing, much-loved housekeeper. They are looking for a flexible candidate who can adapt to the family when needed
Start date: August / September
Working week 4 ½ days Monday – Friday (You are not required on a Friday Afternoon from midday) Some Saturday mornings (7.30am-9am) paid extra with notice given
Working hours: 6.45am – 8pm (3 hours off within the day 12- 3pm)
Salary: £40 - £45k (£600 - £650 per week)
