Live In Housekeeper/Carer Companion job in Chigwell, Greater London (The family would consider a Live out for the right person)
We have a family who are looking for a Housekeeper, ideally with some care / companion experience to look after their 4-bedroom home in Chigwell and assist with caring (as part of an existing team) for their disabled son.
They are looking for someone who is responsible, kind, proactive, organised, and flexible, ideally someone who would be happy to travel with them, however someone who also would be happy to house and pet sit when the family are away. The candidate must also love dogs, as taking care the dogs is a big part of the role.
Duties to include:
Hands-on housekeeping - cleaning washing and ironing
Support for their Son where needed, (he has daily carers)
Walking and feeding the 3 family dogs
Evening support (3 evenings a week, agreed in advance)
Running errands occasionally
Requirements:
Must speak Good English.
Available to work with flexibility.
Friendly, and personable.
Must love travel.
Previous housekeeping experience required (previous care experience a bonus)
Ability to work under minimal supervision and/or as part of a team if required.
Must be responsible and reliable.
Must be pet friendly.
Driving not essential but the use of a car would be considered if necessary to perform daily duties. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys a varied role and not just housekeeping. Ideally, someone who is happy to learn new things and who is proactive in terms of seeing what needs doing and getting it done!
Nearest station: Debden or Chigwell (Central Line - only 40mins to reach London)
Main House: 4 bedroom, 3 storey house, with private tennis court.
Accommodation: Bedroom with own bathroom on a separate floor in the home, space for a small kitchenette if desired.
Start date: As soon as the right person is found.
Working week: Monday - Friday
Hours: 50 hours per week with flexibility - could be split shifts
Salary: £40 - £45k+ depending on experience
