Live in or Live out Housekeeper Job, Cotswolds
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced & discreet Housekeeper who has a good eye for detail. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a small team and taking instructions from the House director. The household comprises two adults, one child, and a pet dog. The family will be moving to a new property approximately 20-30 minutes away at the beginning of the new year. The family travels frequently for about three months each year, and the staff will be given advance notice of vacation periods as you would be required to take your leave during them. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the family home. The family has high expectations in terms of cleanliness and organization. In addition to the salary, the family is willing to provide an accommodation allowance as the ideal candidate needs to live close to the Cotswolds.
Duties
Performing thorough and meticulous cleaning of all living spaces and staff areas.
Organizing and maintaining all rooms and areas, arranging items and furniture in a tidy and aesthetically pleasing manner.
Laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and storing clothes and linens properly.
Managing household inventories, restocking supplies as needed and maintaining a record of household items.
Respecting the privacy of the principals and their belongings
Keeping a record of any broken or missing items in the home and reporting them to the house director/Principals
Safely handle valuable and delicate items, such as antiques, art pieces, and collectables using suitable cleaning methods and products.
Caring for fine fabrics, silverware, crystal, and other luxury items.
Prepping the property for guest visits.
Assisting other members of staff for events or gatherings, including service and clearing away.
Ad hoc duties, running errands which will include driving
Reporting any issues or repairs to the head housekeeper or management
May be required to assist other departments occasionally or perform additional duties
May be required to cook meals or prep food for the family in the chef's absence
Maintaining items in the households such as white goods and cleaning equipment
Pet care may be required such as walking, feeding and trips to the vets
Ensuring the exterior maintenance of the property is maintained
The ideal person would be pet friendly, ideally have silver service experience or be happy to undertake training or just be comfortable serving. Be adaptable to changing schedules and last-minute requests, as the needs of UHNW individuals can vary. You will need a clean driving license and your own car. have experience in a similar role. Be happy to work in line with the family's standards and policies. Must be discreet and happy to sign an NDA.
Salary: £55,000 gross per annum + a generous accommodation allowance for someone requiring a live-in option you would need to be responsible for finding your own accommodation near the property. The salary will increase if you do not require accommodation and live within commuting distance this salary is negotiable and likely to be in the region of £65,000.
Working Days: Monday - Friday bi-weekly shift
Hours: 48 Hours, 8.00 am to 6:30 pm with a lunch break and two additional breaks in the day. A bi-weekly Saturday shift of 8 am-2 pm will also be required. Working hours will be adjusted to ensure they remain under 48 hours
