Live in Housekeeper/Cook job, Oxfordshire.
A lovely client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook to assist them in their weekend country home. The family have young children and employ a nanny, although you must be child-friendly and happy to do occasional babysitting. They have additional staff that work at the property also.The family would like to find someone who enjoys being in the kitchen and cooking healthy nutritious meals, The principal is happy to present recipe ideas and discuss menus in advance.
The family like to have guests visit from time to time so the right person needs to be confident to cook for up to 10 guests. Ideally, you will have good house management skills whilst still willing to be hands-on with housekeeping duties, ensuring the house is guest-ready for the weekend. The role is approximately a 50/50 split between cooking and housekeeping. The family are also looking for someone who will be happy to join them on holiday to cook.
Duties:
Housekeeping to a high standard including Laundry and Ironing
Cooking fresh healthy meals
Occasionally cooking meals for the children
Shopping for groceries and stock-taking
Managing the household including contractors
Running errands
Strong cooking skills
Experience cooking for dinner parties
House management skills
Organised with the ability to prioritise important tasks first
Good service skills
Great attention to details
Flexibility is key for this role, the ideal candidate will be discreet, trustworthy and understand boundaries, good communication skills and the ability to work well with others is paramount for this role.
Separate Accommodation:1 bedroom cottage separate to the main house, partners and pets welcome
All bills included
Days: Thursday - Monday (Tuesday and Wednesday off)
House: 45 hours/week
Start date: As soon as the right person is found / Early 2024
Salary: £45,000 Gross per annum, negotiable depending on experience
