Live Out Governess, Houston, Relocation Package Provided. Salary Negotiable   

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Governess to join a prestigious UHNW household to look after their 5 year old child with additional needs. The child is not in school and it is the Governess’ responsibility to create and implement an educational plan daily / weekly/ monthly. These services encompass various aspects, such as identifying top specialists, nutrition planning, arranging therapy sessions, coordinating with educators (both in-home and external), and staying informed about the latest research and best practices. Regular monitoring of developmental stages and adherence to recommendations from experts are essential. You will also provide expert reports to keep the parents informed about the sources and findings of your research. Knowledge of current technology is essential.

Experience with similar aged children, a valid police check, a first aid certificate (or willingness to get one) and right to work in America are all essential for this role.

Duties:

  • Provide high-quality care and supervision to the child in the household, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, incorporating learning through play, reading, and other engaging methods
  • Assist with homework, assignments, and projects, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Foster positive values, manners, and social skills in the child, promoting their personal growth and development
  • Accompany the principal and the children on domestic and international trips, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience
  • Prepare and pack necessary supplies, including clothing, toys, and educational materials for the child
  • Provide on-the-go support during travel, including supervising the child, managing their schedules, and attending to their needs

Salary: Negotiable
Days:  Monday to Friday (with flexibility)
Hours: 50 hours per week (with flexibility)
Driving: Bonus
