live-out Housekeeper, Somerset, near Shepton Mallet
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to assist a couple in their home in Somerset. This is an informal role, but the ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated and capable of managing the general running of the household without assistance. It is preferable for the candidate to have experience in caring for modern high-end homes. Previous experience working in a private household with verifiable references and great attention to detail is required. The household has two dogs, so being dog-friendly is essential. In addition to the housekeeper, there is also a chef and a dog sitter employed at the property.
Duties include:
- Cleaning, Laundry, ironing & pressing to a high standard
- Ensuring the house is presentable, clean and tidy & stocked with food and products
- Organising cupboards and wardrobes
- Dealing with tradespeople and contractors from time to time
- Running errands
- General household duties and running of the property.
- Occasional dog-sitting if the chef and dog sitter is not available
The ideal candidate would be welcoming and friendly, have a discreet nature and be able to use their initiative. You must be a driver with a clean license. Fuel expenses for running errands will be reimbursed.
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 35 hours 08:00 – 15:00 any additional hours worked outside of these hours would be paid as overtime
Start date: As soon as the right person is found
Salary: Up to £36,400 GPA based on skills and experience
