Live-Out Housekeeper Job Near Hungerford, Berkshire

A lovely family with 4 children and 3 dogs is seeking an experienced housekeeper to care for their beautiful 8-bedroom home, which is their main residence. The home is friendly and busy, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. The ideal candidate should be an all-rounder, happy to assist with various tasks as needed.

The successful candidate must be well-organized, proactive, and comfortable taking the lead when the family entertains, although entertaining is not frequent. Attention to detail is crucial, especially when caring for antiques and fine furnishings. The family already employs a full-time nanny and a part-time housekeeper who assists with laundry twice a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on housekeeping and cleaning

  • Laundry, including delicate fabrics

  • Care of silver, antiques, and marble

  • Assisting with various tasks to support the busy family

  • Driving is essential, and the candidate must have their own car for commuting to the property

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 Gross Per annum
