Live Out Housekeeper Job in Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire

A long-standing client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking to hire an experienced switched on Housekeeper to join their fully staffed home and become part of a fantastic team of 5 other housekeepers. They are looking for someone who can work independently and also within a team and who has experience working for UHNW clients.  Ideally, you would need to be able to work well under pressure and be flexible to last-minute changes along with a good knowledge of how to maintain and care for artwork, antiques, and delicate surfaces. This is the principal's main residence although the principal also travels frequently and has guests staying from time to time.

Duties to include:

  • Cleaning to a high standard

  • Laundry duties when the Laundress in on vacation or absent

  • Occasional Service Duties this is mostly buffet-style

  • Occasional help with food prep

  • Laying informal table settings, on occasion formal

  • Helping with dinner parties and event on occasion

  • Other ad hoc duties as required 

The ideal candidate for this role will have good longevity in their previous roles, discretion is key, along with having a professional demeanour. This person needs to be proactive, and efficient, have a positive upbeat energy and be a driver with a clean license. In addition, previous experience working in large private households or on superyachts would be advantageous or 5* hotels

Days: : 5 days on 2 days off on a rota shift (flexible to work on weekends when the principal or guests are in residence) usually 1 or 2 weekends per month when you are working over the weekend you will receive two days off in the week.

Hours: 8am – 5pm very occasional 11am -8pm shift only for events or dinners.

Salary: £45,000 – 50,000 GPA Negotiable depending on experience

Starts: As soon as the right candidate is found (ideally before Christmas although happy to wait for the right person)
