Live out Housekeeper job in High Street Kensington, West London

A lovely and relaxed family is looking for a proactive and experienced Housekeeper to help in their home. The family is Mum, Dad, and their four children (all under the age of 7). The family employs a weekend Housekeeper and Nannies, so you will not have regular childcare-related responsibilities, but the client would like to find someone who is a good team player and is happy to lend a helping hand with the kids if a Nanny is off sick or on holiday. This is an informally run household, however, they require high standards. It is a high-end home but there is nothing ''too precious'' (such as marble, antiques or artwork) due to having 4 your children at home - the most valuable items are in their wardrobe. Therefore, it is paramount that you have exceptional attention to detail and are very confident with laundry care. The ideal candidate will be discreet, easy to be around, flexible, a self-starter and able to run a home independently. You must be happy to be around children and help with the children from time to time.

Duties to include:

  • High standards of cleaning, laundry and ironing 
  • Wardrobe management
  • Running their home independently
  • Anticipating problems 
  • Running errands
  • Purchasing groceries locally 
  • Dealing with contractors
  • Taking inventories
  • Periodic deep cleaning 
  • Ad hoc: providing childcare support when needed 
  • BONUS: prepare dinner for the family - simple, non-complicated dishes

Property: 5-storey home with 5 bedrooms (there is no lift)

Other staff: A weekend Housekeeper and Nannies

Working days and hours: 32-40 hours per week spread across 4 or 5 days Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm / 8:30 am to 4:30 pm / 9 am to 5 pm 

Salary: £35k - £45k (negotiable depending on experience and the number of hours worked)
