Live out Housekeeper/Nanny/Cook Job in Herne Hill, London
We are looking for a reliable, energetic and creative candidate to join the family of three residing in Herne Hill in their six-bedroom house, acting as sole charge nanny, housekeeper and cook, responsible for overseeing additional staff. The ideal candidate would have experience managing a household and working with primary/secondary school-age children. You would have strong observation skills and meticulous attention to detail.
The family have two children aged 9 and 11 and will likely get a cat soon. Schools and clubs are within walking distance and usually travel locally by bike, scooter or public transport.
Nanny Duties:
Collect younger child from school and take them to clubs/activities
Keep track of the whereabouts/safety of the older child during evening clubs/activities
Supervise homework and playtime
Play with the children during any spare time
Ensure the children tidy away their clothes and toys
Put the children to bed
Read with the children
Ensure that bags and supplies are put away and ready for the next day
During the school holidays, supervise the children for full days as required
Research ideas for outings and activities with the children
Housekeeper Duties:
Ensure the house is kept clean and tidy, by cleaning directly and supervising any additional cleaning staff required (we will discuss staff required depending on workload)
Take special care of fine floorings/fabrics and high-quality kitchen equipment
Routine cleaning, laundry and ironing
Seasonal cleaning
Manage third-party services
Ensure the house is well-presented
Replenish house supplies
Re-stock cleaning supplies
Receive deliveries
Purchase items required by the children
Help to clear out unwanted items from the house, by donating to charity, advertising on eBay
Cook Duties:
Prepare dinner for the children and yourself (occasionally for the whole family)
Prepare ingredients for family meals
Prepare meals to be frozen for future use
Check stock of pantry items and manage weekly online shopping orders
Make local shopping trips to buy ingredients
Supervise and teach children cooking/baking in holidays
House: Six-bedroom house with garden
Hours: Monday - Friday,10 am - 7.30 pm, with the potential for additional hours in school holidays and babysitting. Flexibility available on start time and early 5:30 pm finish on Friday. Includes holiday pay and pension.
