Live out or Live in Groundsman Job in Kent
We have a wonderful position for a professional and pro-active Gardener/Handyman to take care of the grounds of a newly modernised listed property in a rural location in Kent. The property consists of approximately 100 acres, but most is farmland or paddock so the majority of the Groundsman’s time will be spent maintaining the lawns, plus some flower beds, closer to the house.
The principals are a Couple and they also employ a full time live in Houseman. Groundsman (Gardener / Handyman combined)

- Tending to flower beds (pruning, adding fertiliser, watering etc)
- Leaf blowing and collection
- Removal of fallen branches etc from gardens

- Keeping guttering clear
- Regularly raking and if necessary adding to gravel on driveways

General Responsibilities
- Security - vigilance throughout the working day for any potential security issues, and responding to alarm activations including out of working hours as a keyholder for this house and also for other properties both locally and in London
- Receive and supervise contractors when in the garden (although the Groundsman is expected to undertake most garden maintenance without the need for external contractors)
- Refuse collections - liaising with the Houseman to ensure the correct refuse is put in the correct bins, and they are put out for collection on the correct days.
