Live Out Part Time Housekeeper Job

Live Out Cook / Housekeeper job in Pangbourne, West Berkshire 

A client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a switched on, discreet and experienced cook/housekeeper.  You’d be working in a household of four with children aged four and six. A cleaner is employed separately for 5 hours on a Friday morning. There will be an opportunity for extra hours doing babysitting. Someone with cooking experience and who enjoys cooking would be a great fit for this role.

This is a busy and varied role within a dynamic household, requiring someone who is flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.

The role will include hands-on-housekeeping as well as cooking for the household - cooking dinners and preparing packed lunches for the family. The cooking duties will include following recipes, and a candidate who is experienced with dietary requirements would be ideal.This role involves 5 days of Housekeeping however, the client would love someone to also be available for babysitting on a Friday night, although this is optional as the main focus of the role will be cooking. The clients could also offer another optional 5 hours working on a Saturday too (12-5pm).

Responsibilities

  • Hands on housekeeping, such as cleaning, laundry, ironing and tidying toys.

  • Cooking, both for the family as well as lunches for the children, adjusting the cooking after dietary needs.

  • Grocery shopping and errands.

  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required including window and oven cleaning.

  • There is free parking available or the train station is a 5 minute walk. A car is not required.

  • Childcare and babysitting.

The ideal candidate would have extremely high attention to detail and would have ideally had experience working in private households and checkable references.

Hours: 25-30 hrs/week

Monday to Thursday 12pm-5pm. 

Optional: 

Friday 2pm-7pm (Cooking and Babysitting) 

Saturday: 5 hours

Salary: £18 gross per hour

Starts: As soon as the right person is found.
