Live Out Housekeeper Job in Weybridge, Surrey
The client is looking for a caring individual with good housekeeping and laundry skills that can work in a team.
This is a family of four, they have a 16-year old son living at home and a grown-up 20-year-old daughter who lives abroad and visits form time to time.
A friendly large sized Rhodesian Ridgeback pet dog completes the family.
They already employ a full time Housekeeper, a Chef, two EAs, a House Manager and a Chauffeur.
They would prefer someone who can drive and is less than 30 minutes from place of work but not essential and dependent on the candidate.
They have delicate surfaces in their home such as stone, granite and brass and it is furnished with contemporary furnishings and ancient artefacts & artwork, so it is important that you have experience working in a home with similar materials and finishes. They entertain typically 6-8 times a year, and flexibility is required to assist. Relatives visit 1-2 a year for a month; and staff may be asked to sleep over when teenage son is alone maybe twice a year.
Duties to include but may not be limited to:
- All aspects of housekeeping including cleaning; disinfecting; tidying up; vacuuming and mopping floors; scrubbing , waxing, and polishing floors if necessary; dusting and polishing furniture and other decorative items
- Making beds changing bed and bath linens as required
- Supervising repair and maintenance indoor and outdoor spaces
- Keeping stock of household supplies
- Maintaining and tidy all outdoor spaces including but not limited to BBQ pit, driveways, garden, patios, pool, pool house and tennis court
- Answering telephone calls and doorbell
- Receiving deliveries
- Running errands
- Washing and ironing personal clothing and any other linens
- Sorting and sending clothing and any other linens to the dry cleaners - maintain inventory
- Wardrobe management
- Mending or altering clothing and any other linens
- Letting pets out into the garden and supervise
- Preparing breakfast, snack and dinner for pets and feeding pets
- Showering, drying and grooming pets fortnightly and/or coordinate grooming sessions
- Bringing pets for vet visits as required
- Performing school runs as required
- Chaperoning children to after school activities and other events/outings as required
- Supervising children as required
Property: 2 floors, 5 bedrooms
Working days: Monday-Friday
Hours: Shifts 8am-5pm and 11am-8pm, alternating every week with another Housekeeper.
Salary: £45-£50k depending on experience.
