Live out Governess/PA, mid-September but happy to wait
A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a Live out Governess/PA for their three children aged 9 months, 4 years and 8 years.
The eldest child goes to school full time. His younger brother goes to nursery four days a week, but this may change in the future. The baby is at home full-time and has her own Nanny/Housekeeper, but help with weaning will be appreciated. The role is mostly focused on the two eldest children once they return from nursery/school. Extra support will need to be given to the eldest with reading, and preparing him for the 11+ happening in two years.
The family would like someone educationally focused, easy-going, and outgoing. A team player with great communication skills and a nurturing nature would be ideal for this role. Mum is looking for someone engaging who can create a happy environment for the children in this busy household.
Mum is hands-on and there is a Nanny/Housekeeper employed, so this is very much a shared care role. It is essential, though, that you are someone with the ability to take charge, think outside the box, and implement a structure.
A DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service and an up to date first aid certificate are all essential for this role.
Duties:
- Picking up the children from nursery and school (parents help too)
- PA duties such as errands for the family and booking activities, appointments, and holidays
- Taking the children to activities
- Helping with homework / encouraging reading and literacy
- Liaising with tutors
- Overseeing piano lessons (there is a music tutor)
- Cooking occasionally
- Managing wardrobes
- Getting the children ready for bed
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 GPA
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 10am to 8pm (flexibility required)
Driving: essential (car provided)
Travel: yes (about 6 weeks a year)
Language: English essential
