Private Chef Job – Finland and Gstaad

A returning client Of Greycoat Lumleys who travel between their two properties in Switzerland and Finland respectively are seeking full time live in Private chef. Accommodation is offered off site and both homes are relatively rural but close to Towns shops and infrastructure.  

Duties:

  • Mon - Fri.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Food prep for the weekends.
  • Menu planning discussed daily
  • Cooking for family of 3  people daily + 1 nanny and sometimes guests or extended family
  • Keep kitchen clean and tidy. Oversee stock and kitchen inventory 
  • Food shopping, collection & online ordering

Qualities:

  • No uniform needed but well presented 
  • Professional and adaptable
  • Highly organized, solution orientated 
  • Positive attitude, good communication 
  • Comfortable working closely with a non-formal, high standards family and a broader household team 
  • A team mentality
  • Must be ok around 2 large dogs
  • Fit & healthy, properties have flights of stairs

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years as a private chef in private residences or on Yachts
  • Confident in preparing fresh, seasonal and healthy conscious meals. Occasional cakes & desserts.
  • Knowledge of allergens. Family have allergies including nuts amongst them and one person is  vegetarian.
  • Experience in menu planning & kitchen management.
  • Strong organizational skills and good time management 
  • Applicants must be EU passport holder 
  • Candidates should also be confident drivers (a car is provided )
  • Discretion, professional & ability to work with minimal supervision
  • This role is most suited to candidates with no dependents or pets

Other notes:

Live-in is required. Accommodation is provided.

  • Homes are in Finland and Switzerland.
  • Informal and down to earth relatively young clients who are very polite but also know what they want
  • Both Principals are professional and high functioning
  • Principals seek discreet friendly professional approach form staff
  • Finland is usually April - September 
  • Autumn and winter is spent in Gstaad in Switzerland.
  • Finland is a remote, country location.
  • Gstaad is also a small town. 

There is a couple on site that will be able to assist in serving meals, tidying up etc if needed.
