Resident Boarding Assistant Job
Are you recent graduate looking for a fantastic experience of working within a boarding school in a rewarding role where all bills and accommodation are paid for?
Founded in 1863 this college is and independent co-educational day and boarding school providing quality education to children aged from 2 – 18 years. They currently have around 500 pupils the majority of whom are from the midlands with a large international presence.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging resident boarding assistant to join their team for the academic year September 2025 – July 2026
The Role:
- To share the responsibility for the health and safety, well-being and safeguarding of all pupils
- To promote high standards of punctuality, behaviour and good manners with all pupils, taking appropriate action where necessary.
- To be fully aware of the colleges policies and procedures relating to the behaviour of and safeguarding of young people and act in accordance with these.
- Contributes to the boarding house rota
- Carries out all house routines and registers as specified by the housemaster/mistress.
- Is resident on duty days and weekends
- Mentors the boarders academically and personally
- When on duty supervises boarders by being a visible presence in the house
You:
- Are caring, positive and reliable with a good sense of humour
- Have enthusiasm and willingness to get involved in the life of a vibrant boarding school
- Have flexibility, stamina and adaptability with a willingness to undertake extra duties.
- Are an excellent role model for young people
- Competency in the use of ITC
Salary: Up to £16,000 GPA (depending on experience)
