Live Out Head Housekeeper/Senior Housekeeper Job in Regent’s Park

A returning client of Greycoat is looking for an excellent Head Housekeeper/Senior Housekeeper to join their formal household in Regent’s Park. The main property is a beautiful 4-storey, 3-bed house, and the role also includes maintaining three mews properties. The family consists of a couple and their two children and their old dog. The household currently employs several other staff members including 4 housekeepers as well as a Butler and Lady’s Maid who all report to the Head Housekeeper and House Manager. The household laundress manages the laundry, so the position is predominantly housekeeping except on the weekend when light laundry duties may be required. The 4 housekeepers are very experienced and only require light guidance. The role includes maintaining the highest standards across the household and managing the housekeeping schedule.

The client will also consider candidates who have experience in a Head or Executive Housekeeping position within a 5* London hotel or boutique hotel. 

Duties to include:

  • Housekeeping to a very high standard

  • Guiding four housekeepers

  • Bed making

  • Wardrobe Management

  • Packing and unpacking

  • Creating and maintaining inventories

  • Occasional light laundry duties

  • Cleaning the main property, along with three other mews properties

  • Working within a team

  • Occasional travel with the family

  • Liaising with contractors with contractors

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working at a high standard and have an excellent eye for detail. The position requires an individual who is confident in leading a team and working by example to maintain the highest of standards. You will need to be hands on and happy working on a rota basis. 

House: 3 bedrooms, 4 Floors in the Main property

Hours: Two shifts rotating: 6 am - 3 pm and 8 am -5 pm

It is a 5-day week, with 2 continuous days off, with 1 or 2 weekends off a month.

When the family is away, the role is Monday – Friday with weekends off and you can choose which shift you work

A uniform is provided, as well as hot meals.
