Live-In Housekeeper and Dog Sitter Job in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex
A welcoming family seeks a reliable and responsible dog lover to care for their three dogs and maintain their six-bedroom home.
The owners live abroad, visiting every 8-10 weeks for up to a month at a time.
They have 3 older children, the youngest son is at University in Manchester, their daughter lives in Central London and their eldest son lives in an adjacent Pool House, has a studio within the grounds and is at hand to help with the dogs from time to time.
The dogs are: a King Charles Spaniel, a Flat Coat Retriever and British Bulldog
Ideal Candidate:
- Animal lover with experience in pet care
- High standard of cleanliness and housekeeping
- Trustworthy and able to work independently
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule
Living Arrangements:
You will have your own living space in a separate modern barn with 2 bedrooms, an en suite bathroom, a further shower room kitchen and living room close to the main home. The dogs will sleep in the main home at night whilst you stay in the Barn, ensuring privacy whilst being close to the main home and dogs. The accommodation is only suitable for a single person, one dog will be considered. Sorry, no cats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dog Care:
- Daily walks and exercise
- Feeding and caring for the dogs
- Regular vet visits as needed
- Housekeeping:
- Thorough cleaning and tidying of the main house
- Laundry and Ironing
- Ensuring the home is dust-free and well-maintained
- Coordinating with contractors for any necessary work
- Schedule:
- Working Days: Monday – Friday: Dog Walks, Dog Care and Housekeeping
- Weekends: Dog Walks and Dog Care, Osh will help out on occasions.
