Live-in Housekeeper Opportunity in Zurich,Switzerland
A returning respected client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced and energetic Housekeeper to be based in Switzerland. The housekeeper should have verifiable references that qualify working in a private home with high standards.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a household with children and happy to assist with any childcare requirements that might be requested. A polyvalent approach to daily tasks is required and candidates should have a wide-ranging existing skills set as well as the right work attitude and energetic approach to the changing requirements of the household.
The housekeeper will have a successful track record of working as a Housekeeper and have the upmost discretion and housekeeping standards showing genuine care for the presentation of all rooms and living space. Ideally be a driver with a very good level of English. A proactive nature and a service mentality are obviously incredibly important assets and pre-requisite for this position.
Location: Private property in Zurich, Switzerland
Start Date: Flexible
Salary Range: dependent on experience and strength of candidates – circa CHF 6,000 Gross per month
Live in: One bedroom accommodation with separate entrance
Languages required (including level): Good English level would facilitate things. Otherwise, good French with Italian or German
Working Days & Hours: Changing seasonality of demands but usually a 43 Hour working week. Flexibility within the hours protected by Swiss labour law
Passport / Visa requirement: Would Need an E.U passport or existing Swiss work permit
Driving: Required although not essential, although property is remote
Pet care / Pets in the house: Yes some simple feeding of household pets is required

The role is based on a 5-day working week and there may on occasion be the request to travel with the family. Swiss work contracts are of course on offer with this position. The role will usually require a 43 Hour working week and overtime is protected by Swiss labour law.
The position requires candidates who are astute enough to know formal protocol and respect the private space of the principals yet friendly and open enough around children. The ability to blend into the family dynamic and be a support to everyone in the household is key.
