Live-out Child-friendly Housekeeper Job in Notting Hill, West London

A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a child-friendly Housekeeper to join their family. They are residing in Notting Hill but will be soon moving into their new home 10 minutes away in Maida Vale. They will have some work done on the new home and have it decorated, so the first 6-9 months may be slightly bit hectic. The couple has 3 children aged 6, 7 and 10 years old and a sweet Labrador pet dog completes the family. They have a Dog Walker employed. Mum is super hand-on with the children and they are a tidy and organised family. They also have a home in the Cotswolds and spend most of their summers there. They would like you to travel down each week and stay there for two days and help look after their home there, too - overnight accommodation and travel expenses will be covered. The ideal candidate will be experienced, flexible, very open-minded, hard-working and proactive and have good communication skills and enjoy being around and spending time with children. 

Duties:

  • Cleaning, laundry and ironing
  • Organising cupboards and wardrobes
  • Changing bed linen
  • Tidying up
  • Running errands
  • Being an extra pair of hands with the children 
  • Cooking simple meals for the family in batches - mostly for the kids and parents will have the leftovers later (no allergies or dietary requirements)
  • Occasional school pick-ups (either a walking distance to the school bus stop or a bus ride to the school)
  • Occasional babysitting
  • Travel to he Cotswolds over the summer

Property: townhouse over 4 floors with 4-5 bedrooms (their new home will be the same size roughly but with an additional mews house used as a guest house mostly)

Working days and hours: Monday-Friday from 10 am - 6 pm OR 11 am - 7 pm (40 hours per week)  

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
