Full-time Live-out Laundress Job, Mayfair and Virginia Water
A wonderful opportunity is available for an excellent Laundress to work in large houses located in both Virginia Water and London.
You will be working alongside a team of housekeepers, you will be in charge of all the laundry aspects and will work closely with the Head Housekeeper.
This is a lovely family consisting of five members, including children who will be taken care of by Nannies and hence there will be no childcare responsibilities.
There may be other family members visiting from time to time.
The family is supported by a great management team who value and take care of their staff.
They are seeking a well-rounded individual who is a team player, proactive and has a positive attitude towards work.
The role suits someone who has a great eye for detail and has previous experience in private households working as a laundress. You must be discreet and have a positive energetic can-do approach.
The household is quite informal, but they require very high standards and professionalism.
Duties to include:

General cleaning of the laundry room

Management of all household laundry, including clothing, linens, etc.

Ironing, pressing, folding, and appropriately hanging/storing all items
- Care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials, etc.

Care and laundering of children's clothes
- Occasional minor repairs - sewing, stitching

Shoe cleaning
- Travel with the family to Barbaidos and New York - several trips a year for anything between a couple of weeks - 6 weeks each time
Other staff employed: Fully staffed
Working days: 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off and you will be working 6 days a week with Saturdays off. When you have your 6 weeks off, you will need to be on call for any emergencies that may arise.
Working hours: a 9-hour working day from 8 am - 5 pm (with one-hour lunch break) plus being flexible to work up to 11 hours when needed (e.g. when they have guests) - you will be paid extra for any overtime worked
Salary: £50k-£55k gross per annum depending on experience
