Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant and bar. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, creativity, and a hands-on approach in both front-of-house and back-of-house functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service. Managing reservations, seating arrangements, and restaurant POS systems.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the FOH team, fostering a positive working environment. Managing the employee journey from hiring, issuing rotas, training and development and performance management. 

  • Customer Experience: Ensure that all guests receive high-quality service and enjoy their dining experience. Handle guest complaints, feedback, and special requests with professionalism and care.

  • Menu and Beverage Program: Work closely with the head chef and bar manager to develop and refine menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences. Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation to maintain high standards.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety across all areas.

  • Marketing and Events: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the restaurant and drive customer engagement through special promotions, events, and social media presence.

  • Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with food, beverage, and equipment suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role in hospitality.

  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including kitchen and bar management.

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a restaurant setting.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Proficiency in restaurant management software (POS systems, scheduling tools) is a plus.
