Temporary School Nurse
I am working with a successful independent school in West Sussex for girls aged 4-18, it is both a stimulating and a pleasant place to work.
They are seeking to recruit a School Nurse to work as part of their Medical Centre on a short-term basis.
The Role:
- Provide safe and up to date first aid and medical care of pupils l in-line with the schools First Aid Policy and in accordance with the published National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools.
- Working as part of a team to ensure there is cover as necessary in the Medical Centre.
- Undertaking the triage, diagnosis treatment and/or referral of injuries and illnesses in accordance with agreed protocols.
- Providing emergency care to pupils and, where necessary, staff and visitors to the school.
- Ensuring the safe storage and administration of medicines according to NMS guidelines, and maintaining appropriate records as necessary.
- Provide high levels of communication with House Parents and other members of the boarding team.
You:
- Will hold a NMC registration as a General Nurse (RN Adult) or Children’s Nurse (RN Child)
Dates: 30th September to Friday 18th October
Salary: £20 GPH
Hours: tbc confirmed; as required on the schools rota (circa 40 hours per week)
